My name is Meredith Searcy and Hearts Unscripted is my personal blog. My heart belongs to Jesus. I am a 911 dispatcher, a photographer, and a radically redeemed woman.
I started blogging in 2015 after my devastating divorce. I don’t claim to be an expert in the area of Christian relationships and Godly womanhood. The only thing I claim to be an expert is possibly bad relationships. I have learned the hard way through very trying circumstances and for many years was controlled by depression. And then one day it was like the Lord took out his divine highlighter and the words of Romans 8:28 leaped up off the page in a way that I had never seen it before.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
All those things… All those horrible, hurtful, and hard things that I had gone through, had been allowed by the Lord for MY GOOD, and HIS GLORY. If I continued to hide and not share what I had learned through all that the Lord had allowed me to go through, I wouldn’t be bringing any glory to Him, and I sure would not be growing. When I first began to blog to share with other Christian women the struggles I had faced and continued to go through, it was difficult to be transparent for fear of what people would think, but I knew if I humbled myself and allowed the Lord to speak through me, lives could be impacted for his glory. My story is mine, but i realized as I began to share my story how many other women struggled with so many of the same hurts, pains, and struggles. We as women need to share, be transparent, and point each other to the Lord daily.
I believe that if you want to be a Godly woman and have Godly relationships you have be be mindful, intentional, and patient.
I pray that every post would be God inspired, heartfelt, transparent, and full of truth. I pray that it would encourage women to strengthen their walk with the Lord, to find their identities in him and to pursue passion, purity, and purpose in their daily walk as a Christian woman.
My goal is to encourage other women to be transparent in their walks with other women to encourage and strengthen other women around them.
